Although currently working as a dog groomer, her dream is to become a successful writer spending most of her time writing... the literary dream. Jim Bentley
Though Jim Bentley was born and reared much of his young life in Texas, he later moved to New Mexico, Oregon, Idaho, Colorado, California and Nevada. Jim finally settled back “home” in Boise, Idaho.

Quite a career journey he has had, working with youth in churches, camps and speaking at retreats. Jim has worked several years in a Fortune 500 computer company and as a Quality Manager for an Electronics Firm. Other positions were as an International Recruiter for computer companies, a Human Resource Manager for a 4Diamond Resort/Casino, working there with 800 employees, a Psychological Rehabilitation Specialist and now as a phone center representative, surveying people for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Jim received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Northwest Nazarene University and did Master's work in Counseling at The College of Idaho. He has two grown, beautiful daughters and a granddaughter he adores. Jim now resides in Boise and enjoys his time writing and being with his family and good friends.

Jim calls his book an “autobiographical, fictional novel”, which is based on his young life as a newspaper carrier in McKinney, Texas. Many details are true. In some of the events, Jim seems to be able to remember details that never really happened.

Sadly, we report that one of Entry Way's first and finest writers passed away on September 9, 2010. His obituary can be viewed at:
http://sewardcitynews.com/2010/09/16/jerry-dixon-obituary/.

We were very honored to have been the editor staff for Jerry S. Dixon on both his book,
Rocky Traverse and his book, Wild for Alaska and he bestowed another honor to us when he allowed us to publish his second book. Working with Jerry was a journalistic experience like no other. He was able to take us along with him through his words – up the mountains he climbed, through the waters he navigated and on the trips he took. We also got to experience exciting life through him and then gratefully we were able to keep his life experiences alive forever for others to enjoy. Thank you, Jerry, for always being kind and always being interesting. Never, ever will you be forgotten by the staff at Entry Way or Digi-Tall Media. Bless your family and friends who treasure knowing you.

Tribute to Jerry:

Jerry S. Dixon
“Jerry has been a smokejumper, a fire management officer and a fire ecologist for the Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and National Park Service. He is one of the few jumpers in the 65-year history of smokejumping to have survived a double malfunction (when both parachutes fail to open when first deployed). He has also been a Yukon River ranger and a cabin builder (one in Alaska and another in Idaho). He is a philosopher, a biologist, an untra-marathoner, a climber, a writer and a teacher of the gifted.”
– Ron Watters, Professor of Outdoor Education Idaho State University, preface to the second edition South Fork of the Salmon River (2001).

Steve majored in Logic/Philosophy/Science at the University of Illinois, and directing, editing and writing while in London, England. He has written twelve original screenplays, two teleplays, one play, and two children’s book. The author has won the International Cine Golden Eagle Award as well as the American Documentary Film New York Festival Award for “Huichol: People of the Peyote”. Dreben has won both of his prestigious awards through practical experiences and his eyes see deeply into character shattering most of the usual screens. His personal philosophy supports a populist view and he’s proud of being a progressive environmentalist who balances ideas before he votes them. Steve works each day in a practical world while interacting with many people and making his voice heard. In a society of many ‘blind faiths,’ he tries to open the box, or separate the ‘iron vice’ of conformity in order to let truth enter when and wherever possible. Aside from being a writer, Steve is an independent businessman and a Horticulturist and works substantially in the financial industry and in mortgage banking. He is a family man with three children, two of whom are college graduates and one is in the twelfth grade.

Hilde M. Grensbraten
I have always found great relief in writing. To be honest, my head would probably explode if I didn't; so many weird thoughts and ideas have been set free that way. Reading your own words on paper actually helps getting a whole new perspective on a lot of things. Inspiration can be found in everything. It doesn't take much to get my imagination into working overtime, and even if all poems are not about me, they are experiences as situations seen through my eyes. However, I don't like going into depth about what my specific thoughts are for writing a specific poem. To me, what I felt while writing is not as important as what the reader feels reading my work. My goal is for the reader to be able to relate my poems to their own experiences; thereby allowing me to make them feel and dream...and if I do, I will feel like I've succeeded.

Elga says, "It is time that I create my own 'living, breathing characters,' so that readers get to know this author as a 'real person' in her real writing environment."

Kristy Rodriguez
Kristy Rodriguez was born July 11, 1967. She grew up and still lives in the same small town in Texas where her father, grandfather, and great grandfather were raised.

Kristy has always loved to write stories about the people she loves. Her family has become quite accustomed to her doing the "writing" for special occasions.

Her husband Frank and their children, Chastity, Christopher, Craig, Steven, Kelly, and Astrud to date have been waiting for 30 months to be able to bring their daughter and baby sister, Franceska Danielle home from China. Their journey has truly been a spiritual one and they give their Heavenly Father all the glory for the many blessings He has brought their way.

One sleepless night, while her son Steven was in Iraq for his second tour, Kristy decided to write the story God had placed on her heart so many months before. Not having written anything like a book before, she lacked the necessary confidence, but that particular night the words just began to flow naturally. This showed her and many others the miracle was definitely meant to be.

The author prays that this book will not only help the sons and daughters from China who might not look like their families, but also help each and every child who might just feel a little different for one reason or another.

Debra Schramm
For years I have had a love of writing and even self-published a book in the USA. What better way than to combine my love of the word and my love of the old west, and create a fictional novel. This book is on my to do list. My passion for history and the old west was just a hobby, but now has turned into a job that comes naturally and easily.

In early 2000, my book Explosions was published by Entry Way Publishing. The publisher, VicToria Freudiger and I still connect on a weekly basis and she'll be my friend for life. I'm currently writing again but the outcome is a secret thus far.

Hope to be back soon—as I'm on a somewhat writing vacation for a little while.
